Home, Part I Battlestar Wiki

Adama brings along Galen Tyrol and Billy Keikeya aboard Racetrack's Raptor to accompany him on his expedition. Adama feels Billy's presence will help his mission with Roslin. He relates that Roslin feels that Keikeya will become president himself one day. Gaius Baltar begins to strongly deny the existence of his virtual Number Six.

Starbuck inserts the Arrow of Apollo into a statue of the archer Sagittaron, triggering a vision of a grassy field under a night sky. The party sees constellations representing each of the Twelve Colonies, and Starbuck realizes they are "standing" on Earth. Apollo recognizes a nebula among the constellations (he says it's the Lagoon Nebula, to which his father Adama says it's Astral Body M8) and concludes the fleet can plot its next direction based on it. Commander Adama begins a press conference where he gives a statement about the fleet's division and the new hardships they will face due to loss of resources, but calls for unity within what leaves of the fleet. Playa Palacios asks if he knows the location of Roslin's fleet and if he intends to put down the rebellion. When he moves on to another question, Playa insists he respond, and tells her that for now on all the ships left are the fleet.

About this product

Privately, Zarek admits to his aide-de-camp, Meier, that he does not share Roslin's religious convictions. They plot to kill Apollo so Zarek can replace him at Roslin's side.

The party enters the Tomb cave by pushing a boulder out of the way, but only after Starbuck tries and fails to open the cave by waving the Arrow of Apollo around. Eick felt that the finished episode did not convey Starbuck's initial disappointment after having gone through so much to bring the Arrow from Caprica. In a scene deleted from Part 1, Elosha confesses to Roslin that she had lost her faith before the Cylon attack on the Colonies. Seeing the hope in Roslin as Elosha administered Roslin's oath of office restored her faith. In a scene deleted from Part 2, Billy confesses to Roslin that he is an atheist but says he is joining her on Kobol because he believes in her and Commander Adama.

Plot

Roslin struggles to persuade the Quorum of Twelve of Apollo's loyalty. Tom Zarek suggests arming the civilian ships in case Galactica attacks, but Apollo says they would stand no chance against the battlestar. Priestess Elosha reminds everyone that the Scriptures predict that a return to Kobol would result in lives lost. Grat point Jammer about the misportrayal of the colonie. IF they truly are so distant from one another - they could not have had a meaningflu economic relationships, nor could the Cylons have been able to attack them all at the same time. This totally jumped the shark for me as I could no longer perceive the BSG universe as being credible. The transformation goes beyond Six's look and also into her personality. Tricia Helfer performs this version of Six a little closer to ground level ; instead of cooing in his ear, she laughs in his face and tells him that he is indeed quite crazy.

Production information

As he leaves the room, he is insulted by a reporter who wants an answer to the rumours he made up the existence of Earth, and threatens to send him to a holding cell. Home, Part Ⅰ is an episode of the TV series, Battlestar Galactica, and aired during the show's second season. In the episode, Starbuck returns to the human fleet bearing the Arrow of Apollo. Delivery time is estimated using our proprietary method which is based on the buyer's proximity to the item location, the shipping service selected, the seller's shipping history, and other factors. The constellations Roslin identifies in the Tomb correspond to the real-life Zodiacal constellations. They also concede that the constellations shown in the episode do not resemble the real-life constellations.

Despite the new data, it could take the Colonials years of searching within the vicinity of the Lagoon Nebula to find Earth. On Kobol, Zarek tells Meier that it's "harder" to get blood on your hands than to wash it off when referring to killing Apollo. Given the context, it is reasonable to assume that the correct line was that it is "easier" to get blood on your hands than wash it off, that Richard Hatch flubbed the line, and that the flub was not caught during filming. Also, while the Cylon farms are logically a plan for the Twelve Colonies, Moore said that it is not their only plan.

Splitting "Home" into two episodes created the space they needed to incorporate the idea into the episode. They considered having Baltar visit Sharon in her cell and replacing Six with a vision of Sharon in this episode. Commander Adama arrives on Kobol with Billy Keikeya and Chief Galen Tyrol.

She tells him she is in fact not a chip in his head, and dares him to have Dr. Cottle do a brain scan to settle the matter. As always, James Callis is amusing to watch squirm under these bizarre circumstances; it's funny to see Six back him into a corner, at which point Baltar turns 90 degrees and keeps on backing up. Surprisingly, "Home, Part 2" tackles even more character threads than I might've expected given that the plot must answer the question of what lies within the Tomb of Athena. This episode is even more character-oriented than part one. The trial resumes and Felix Gaeta takes the witness stand. He perjures himself by saying Baltar willingly signed the death order to have Roslin, Zarek, and others executed.

Six turns the tables by reappearing in a more casually dressed manner and claiming that Baltar is, indeed, crazy. Whether the Earth of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica is a fictional portrayal of the real-life Earth, another planet sharing the name, or an in-universe myth is unknown to the audience at this point in the series. This character's first name is spelled "Louanne" in other episodes. In "The Farm", Starbuck promised Sam Anders she would return to Caprica and rescue him. In "Home", she encourages Roslin to plan a rescue mission to Caprica.

Eick says "Home" is more about character development and relationships than about story. Meier tells Sharon about the murder of Galactica-Boomer and warns her to start looking out for herself and her unborn baby. After Adama arrives, Zarek orders Meier to stop plotting, to no avail. Sharon tells Helo she plans to "take matters into my own hands." Meier provides her a handgun, and she promises to ambush Commander Adama when they reach the Tomb. However, when the time comes, she shoots Meier instead, declares she has no hidden programming like Galactica-Boomer's, and surrenders the weapon to Adama.
